Hyten Davidson is a NYC-based writer, SAG actor, and graduate of The Hartt School Conservatory where she received her B.F.A in Acting, summa cum laude. She is classically trained, including a Shakespeare Intensive program in the UK with members of the RSC and is a graduate of the Accelerated Meisner Program at Green Shirt Studio in Chicago. Originally from Virginia, Hyten grew up long-distance running and competitive horseback riding. Hyten is a proud member of SAG*AFTRA and represented by PCG Talent.

As a writer, her fiction has been published in New Reader Magazine, The Maine Review, and Landlocked Magazine .  Her screenplays have won numerous Best Screenplay awards (see the Writing section for more) and she was the recipient of the 2021 South Texas International Film Festival's Best Pitch award. Recently Hyten was featured as one of five finalists in The Wrap's Pitchfest Competition in association with Lifetime and won the Best Screenplay award at the Fort Myers Beach International Film Festival for her thriller, Sweat.

 The West Virginian Starfish,  written by Hyten Davidson and produced by Dune Grass Pictures and Multiple Hats Productions is now in the festival circuit. Press release HERE. 


Alongside co-director Tommy Martin, Hyten was recently nominated for Best Director, as well as Best Short and Best Story, at the upcoming 25th annual Long Island Film Expo.
